Mediation
(Conciliation)

Mediation, also known as conciliation, is an alternative form of dispute resolution in which the parties engage a neutral third party (known as a mediator) to help them reach an agreement. The goal of mediation is to encourage communication between the parties, identify their interests and needs, and develop a mutually acceptable solution to the problem. Mediation is often used in civil and family disputes, but can also be used in commercial or labor disputes. The advantage of mediation is the faster and cheaper resolution of disputes, preservation of relations between the parties, and greater control over the outcome.

Some of the services we offer:

  • Assessing whether mediation is a suitable way to resolve a particular dispute, taking into account the circumstances and needs of the parties
  • Organizing meetings between the parties, which includes scheduling appointments, venue, and coordination of all logistical aspects
  • Providing support during the mediation process itself, working with the mediator to ensure the balance and fairness of the process. This may include conducting negotiations, providing legal advice and helping to formulate agreements.
  • When the parties reach an agreement, the law firm can help prepare a formal mediation agreement that clearly defines the terms of the agreement reached. This document may be legally binding.
